New to piercing sizes? Don't worry β€” it takes 30 seconds. Every piece on Belora lists its gauge, diameter or length. Here's exactly what those mean so you order right the first time.

1. Gauge (Thickness)

Gauge (G) is the thickness of the bar that goes through your piercing. The higher the number, the thinner the bar. Always match the gauge you're already wearing β€” going thinner can let the piercing shrink, going thicker can hurt.

2. Diameter (For Hoops & Rings)

Diameter is the inside width of a hoop or ring, measured straight across. To find yours, measure the inner width of a hoop you already own β€” or measure the visible bar across your piercing.

3. Length / Bar Size (For Studs & Barbells)

For flat-back studs, labrets and barbells, length is the post that sits inside the piercing. Too short feels tight; too long catches and snags. Measure the post of a piece that currently fits you well.

How to Measure at Home

  1. Take a piece of jewellery that already fits you well.
  2. Lay it flat against a ruler with a millimetre (mm) scale.
  3. Gauge: measure the bar's thickness. Diameter: measure inside-edge to inside-edge of a hoop. Length: measure the straight post between the two ends.
  4. Match your measurement to the tables above β€” and that's your size.
